Actress Anne Hache, one of Hollywood’s top actresses in the 90s, has been hospitalized after her car crashed into a home in Los Angeles, TMZ reports. She is known for her appearances in the films Six Days, Seven Nights, Donnie Brasco and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The incident happened early Friday morning in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, not far from Heche’s home. Hayes was seen driving a blue Mini Cooper in photos and videos shared by US media source TMZ. The car sustained major damage at the scene of the accident. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the car crashed into a two-story home and caught fire, Fox News reported. The Los Angeles Fire Department said it took 59 firefighters about 65 minutes to extinguish the collision-related fire, according to a statement it released.
According to witnesses, she initially collided with the apartment complex’s garage. Residents of the apartment complex tried to get Ann out of the car, but she swerved and ran away. Soon after, she set fire to a neighboring house.
LAFD also reported that although the car drove 30 feet into the home, the occupant was able to escape unharmed. LAFD said the building was left habitable. When she was taken to the hospital, she had extensive burns on her body. According to a witness, the 53-year-old star was “awake and breathing” when she was taken away on a stretcher, Fox News reported.
After she played the twins in the soap opera Another World, Ann rose to fame in the entertainment business. The show also earned her a Daytime Emmy in 1991.
