While we all know that love has no language, one African-American man put it forward in the sweetest way possible. The man who melted millions of hearts on the internet has said that marriage takes place in his wife’s native language and that is Malayalam. The video of this sweet gesture has rocked the internet. His wife, Genoa Julian Prior, posted the clip. Danzel and Jehovah recently tied the knot in a ceremony in New Jersey. Denzel’s surprise for his wife has certainly impressed social media users.
In the video, Genoa and Danzel can be seen standing at the altar in their gorgeous wedding dresses. Then Denzel began to read his poetry, which made Jehovah emotional. The groom can be seen starting out in English but soon moved to Malayalam.
He not only read Malayalam words from his phone, but also translated it for guests who could not understand the language. The video also shows guests hooting and cheering in the background while his bride, Jehovah, gets emotional and wipes tears of joy.
Genova shared the video with the caption, “My husband learned and said that some part of their marriage is in my mother tongue Malayalam. I cried a lot.” The groom can be heard saying in Malayalam, “Najan ante bharayye kandu pidichu. Ante nidhi kandu pidichu.” And then translating it to the English-speaking guests at the wedding, Danzel said, “To anyone who speaks Malayalam here, I just said ‘I’ve got my wife'”. Saying that he has found his “treasure”, Danzel utters three magic words in both Malayalam and English.
There are a lot of reactions from Instagram users on this clip. People praised how Danzel spoke Malayalam with utmost clarity, with a saying, “Malayalam, known only as the hardest language to be spoken with clarity. magnificent.”
