Arjun Kapoor has always been vocal about his battle with obesity. The actor had lost a lot of weight when he started his journey in the Hindi film industry, and even now he shares how he is trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle with his posts on social media. In fact, recently he had shared how he has gotten fitter and toned with exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Now, in an interview, she has once again talked about her journey towards fitness, and how incorporating yoga has helped her to calm her mind.
While talking to Bombay Times, Arjun Kapoor revealed, “I have been battling it (obesity) as I remember… waking up with it for the last 20 odd years. It has really not been an easy task. People believe it. That’s when you lose weight, it’s done, but the hard part is maintaining it. It’s never over. Even today when I wake up every morning I have to be conscientious and aware. My fight It’s so deep; I fight it every day with a smile on my face. There are some really bad days too.”
He also added, “I’m someone who can only gain weight by breathing around food, so I have to be very aware of that. More than anything, I wanted to be fitter. I think I am now back to be fit, take care of my body, love myself and value my body. I have lost that ability to take care of myself. I was so lost in work that I thought It will go away on its own. I just wanted to remind them that even if you put on weight, you can’t stop loving yourself. You have to try to lose weight for the right reasons, that’s just for the superficial part. There may not be, which clearly exists. Finally, when you see that a virus can trap all of us in these circumstances, you realize how important your health is. From obesity to sugar problems, There is heart problem and blood pressure problem… there is always excess in the way food is looked at in our country.You have to realize how to take care of yourself Is.”
Arjun also said that now he has included yoga in his workout routine. He said, “In the recent past, my mind was very restless and that’s when yoga came. Finishing work, starting a new job, stopping work and getting stuck in between… all had an effect. I found myself wanted to calm down, and yoga helped me meditate, breathe, and just calm my mind. Plus, I think (smile) a lot… that’s how I act. Yoga made me calm Helped to live, just be in the moment and wake up and be empty for a while.
