Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is likely to play the lead role in Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film NBK 108. According to sources, director Anil Ravipudi feels that Sonakshi Sinha is the best fit for the role opposite Balakrishna. Some reports claim that the makers of the film have already approached Sonakshi with a proposal and the negotiations regarding the fee and shooting of the film have been completed.
According to reports, the director and producer are now waiting for Sonakshi’s finale. However, Anil Ravipudi is in touch with other actresses in case Sonakshi rejects the offer.
If Sonakshi goes ahead with this project, it will be her first outing in Tollywood with Balakrishna.
Tollywood actress Srileela has been roped in by Anil Ravipudi for the project. She will play the role of Balakrishna’s daughter in this film. In a recent interview, Ravipudi said that the film is based on the character of Balakrishna in the lead role. The producer of the film revealed, “Balakrishna’s character has been designed with a touch of humor, giving more attention to the action scenes in the film.”
He said that the real challenge in the upcoming project is to make Balaya look like a serious character who will make the audience laugh with his silly mistakes.
NBK 108 is bankrolled by Sahu Garpati and Harish Peddy under the banner of Shine Screens.
On the work front, Balakrishna has a project with director Puri Jagannath. He has also dubbed for the role of Mike Tyson in Puri Jagannadh’s much-loved film ‘Liger’. He is doing another film with filmmaker Kortala Siva. He will be working with Mahesh Babu for this film. So far, Balakrishna has stayed away from multistarrer films.
Balkrishna’s last release, released last year, turned out to be an unbroken blockbuster. The third collaboration between Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu grossed Rs 200 crore worldwide.
