New Delhi: A day after singer Chinmayi Sripada shared an Instagram post announcing the birth of her twins with husband Rahul Raveendran, the social media site has suspended her account.
In a tweet on his official Twitter handle, Chinmayi informed his fans that Instagram suspended his account on the basis of reporting people who were sending candid pictures of him through direct messages.
The singer wrote: “Instagram basically deleted my account for reporting men who send me their gender on dm. It’s been a while where I report but my access was barred. Anyways That’s it. My backup account is chinmayi.sripada.”
to keep track:
On June 21, Chinmayi announced that the couple had named their newborn children Dripata and Sharvas. Driptah and Sharvas. The new and forever center of our universe,” wrote Sripada tagging Raveendran.
In a later post, the singer took a jibe at trolls who alleged whether she welcomed children through surrogacy, saying she was “protecting” herself during the pregnancy.
“I absolutely love these people asking me if I’ve had twins via surrogate because I didn’t post pictures of me being pregnant. Only people who knew were in my innermost circle because I was protecting myself,” she said.
Sripada and Ravindran tied the knot in May 2014.
