Dubai: On the back of his recent exploits, veteran Dinesh Karthik jumped 108 places to 87th in the latest ICC T20 rankings for batsmen, even as young opener Ishan Kishan broke into the top 10.

Kishan finished the series against South Africa with two half-centuries and was the leading run scorer with 206 runs at an average of 41. This form has propelled the left-hander up a spot to sixth in the latest T20 rankings for batsmen.

Karthik has been in terrific form since IPL-15 and has played some explosive knocks in the T20I series against South Africa.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam still holds the top spot in the T20 batting rankings and Kishan is the only Indian player to feature in the top 10.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the biggest mover in T20 rankings for bowlers, with the India spinner jumping three places to 23rd after his six-wicket haul during the South Africa series.

Josh Hazlewood maintains his position as the top-order T20I bowler with Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan (joint third) and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga (sixth), both making the top 10.

Ravindra Jadeja has retained his top position in the list of Test all-rounders with 385 rating points. He is currently in the UK for India’s upcoming Test against England, a spill over of last year’s five-match series, which could not be completed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan has moved up to the second spot with 346 rating points, although he has a long way to go if he is to overtake Jadeja at the top of the list.

Former India captain Virat Kohli (742) maintained his 10th position in the Test batting charts, while veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (850) and pacer Jasprit Bumrah (830) grabbed the second and third positions, respectively.

West Indies pacer Kemar Roach also made his way into the updated list of bowlers, with the veteran right-armer jumping four places to eighth after an impressive performance against Bangladesh.

Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins leads the list of Test bowlers with 901 rating points.
