, Stage physical parade of 37 rebel MLAs before the Governor: In support of Shinde, all the MLAs also have the option of a physical parade before the governor.

, Resign as MLAs to avoid disqualification if the number is less than 2/3: The Uddhav Thackeray-led government on Wednesday approached the acting Speaker, seeking disqualification of 12 rebel MLAs of the Maharashtra Assembly for not attending the party meeting. MLAs revolting against the Uddhav-led Maharashtra government might resign to avoid disqualification if things don’t go their way and they fall short of meeting the required numbers.

, Merger of Splinter Group with BJP: To circumvent the anti-defection law, the number of legislators who have left the party should be two-thirds of the party’s total strength in the legislature. The anti-defection law states that legislators who “voluntarily give up their party membership” after being elected on a political party ticket can be disqualified.

Eknath Shinde who is currently claiming the support of 38 MLAs has got the required numbers for the Maharashtra Assembly. The MLAs have an open option of merging with the BJP which is currently the largest party in the state.
