Champions League winner Gareth Bale is reportedly set to return to his hometown club Cardiff City. Bale is set to become a free agent when his contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid expires at the end of the month. The 32-year-old has several offers but his recent meeting with Cardiff City boss Steve Morrison has sparked speculation.

According to an article published by Wells Online, Bale visited Cardiff City’s training center on Wednesday morning and held discussions with Morrison for the first time. However, finding a new destination will not be a difficult task for Bale as the former Tottenham Hotspur winger prepares to lead his national team to its first World Cup in 64 years.

According to the same publication, Bell revealed that he would go on vacation with his family after the World Cup play-off final and Nations League adventures with Wales. And he did exactly that, back to Cardiff on Tuesday.

Sources claim Morrison spoke to Bell and their future was discussed. It is believed that the Welsh winger will take his decision in the coming days.

According to several media outlets, Bell reported having physios working with medical staff at the club’s Vale of Glamorgan headquarters.

Earlier this month, Bale revealed that he had received several offers from several clubs. He was reportedly also offered to Spanish club Getafe. When Bale was asked about his new destination, he flatly refused to join the La Liga club. “No [I don’t know] But I’m not going to Getafe, that’s for sure,” Bell said.

Before the 2013 season, Bale signed for Los Blancos. In his first stint with Real Madrid, he played in 251 matches and scored 106 goals. In September 2009, he was loaned to his former club Tottenham. In his loan spell, Bale wore the Tottenham jersey on 34 occasions and found the back of the net 16 times. He returned to Real Madrid in July 2021. But his second stint did not prove fruitful due to injuries and fitness issues. Bale managed just one goal after playing seven matches for Real Madrid following his return to the European giants.
