The Gulf Cooperative Council Railway Project (GCC) begins in Kuwait and travels to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and finally to Oman. The project is considered important in shaping the future of the countries and will help in improving connectivity.
The GCC rail network will include the construction of over 2000 km of railways. The cost of the project is estimated to be up to $200 billion. The expansion of the rail network will improve regional connections and reduce transportation time and cost. GCC will help improve trade flows and attract investments
