IIM Bangalore launches Rural Entrepreneurship Incubation Program MPNRC

NSRCEL has launched Rural Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme.

The objective of the program is to promote, enhance and strengthen the entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem in rural India.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of NSRCEL- IIM Bangalore launched a Rural Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme. The objective of the program is to promote, enhance and strengthen the entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem in rural India.

“The pandemic has exposed vast socio-economic gaps and vulnerabilities in rural India, and the need for sustainable and inclusive growth. With this programme, we are shifting our lens from urban-focused founders to those who are keen to bring about visible change in rural India,” said Anand Shree Ganesh, COO, NSRCEL IIM Bangalore.

Entrepreneurs in this program are a diverse mix, including young graduates from leading universities, corporate sector professionals who wish to surpass growth sector and development sector professionals.

The nine rural enterprises working with NSRCEL to create socio-economic impact by generating rural livelihoods are:

Kalapuri/Nirvi Handicrafts, iVillage Social Solutions, Indian Yards, Culture Street, Ayung Trust, Bastar Se Bazar Tak, Curry Now, Mars Innovation, Saharudaya Foods.
