This took India’s total medal tally from the Premier World Junior Shooting Competition to 14 medals so far, including eight gold and six silver medals. Australia, France, Poland and Bulgaria have so far distributed the other four gold medals among them as India continues to dominate in the rifle and pistol disciplines.

India’s gold rush began on Friday as men’s 10m air rifle trio Rudrank Patil, Partha Makhija and Umamahesh Madineni beat the Spanish trio of Jesus Oviedo, Adrian Diaz and Jorge Estevez 16-8 in the gold medal match. It was the second individual gold in the competition for both Rudraksh and Parth, who had earlier won the men’s 10m air rifle and mixed team rifle events respectively.

Then it was the junior women’s 10m air pistol team of Manu Bhaker, Palak and Isha Singh, who defeated Georgian Salome Prodyashvili, Mariam Abramishvili and Mariam Prodyashvili by an equal 16-8 margin.

Then the Air Rifle Women’s team of Arya Borse, Jeena Khitta and Ramita defeated the Korean trio of Yeon An, Eunji Kwon and Jeongin Jung 17-9 in the title match to give India their third gold of the day.

In the end, the junior men’s air pistol team of Saurabh Chaudhary, Shiva Narwal and Sarabjot Singh defeated Uzbekistan’s Mukhamad Kamalov, Veniamin Nikitin and Umidbek Komolbekov 17-9 to give India their fourth gold medal of the day.

In fact, India has also reached the gold medal round of junior men’s and women’s trap team competitions and ensured itself at least two more silver medals.

Shardul Vihaan, Arya Vansh Tyagi and Vivaan Kapoor will take on the American trio of Patrick Thompson, Ernest Carvallo and Christian Kutz for the Junior Men’s Trap Team title later in the day.

Then India’s Preeti Rajak, Sabira Haris and Bhavya Tripathi will take on the Italian trio of Marika Patera, Sofia Gori and Sofia Littam in a junior women’s trap team gold medal bout for a shot at World Cup glory.
