Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 Paper-2 was of moderate level according to the students. BArch or Paper (2A) Mathematics section was in between Moderate to Difficult level. The students reported that the numerical based section had some lengthy questions related to calculations. The chapter on 3D Geometry was given more weightage.
The Aptitude section was of easy to moderate level and most of the questions were asked from 3-dimensional data. The questions in the drawing section were quite easy. One question was to paint and paint the Holi festival scene, the question on the color scheme of the Burger King logo and the other was to reproduce the given figure with the correct ratio (1:500), Ramesh Batlish, Head-FITZ Noida said.
For BPlanning or Paper (2B), students said that the paper was of moderate level. Mathematics paper had some questions from Calculus. Vector and 3D geometry were given more weightage. The questions in Aptitude were of easy to moderate level. Most of the questions were asked from 3D shapes viewed from different angles. The Planning section of Paper 2B was of easy level. Fewer questions were asked from Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC).
Each mark for both BArch and BPlanning is 400. There were total 30 questions in BArch Mathematics. The marking scheme for both multiple choice questions and numerical based questions consists of negative marking of four marks for correct response and one mark for each wrong answer. The Aptitude section had a total of 50 questions while the Drawing section had two questions of 50 marks each.
B Planning Mathematics also had a total of 30 questions while the Aptitude section had 50 multiple choice questions. There were a total of 25 questions in the planning section. The marking scheme for BPlanning remains the same as that of BArch.
JEE Main 2022 session 1 will run till 29 June. It is being conducted in two shifts. The engineering entrance is being held despite students demanding postponement of the exam in protest against the Agneepath scheme. Many students fear that the situation is not safe for them to reach the exam centre.
