John Abraham was last seen in Attack when he impressed everyone with his action sequences. The film was released in theaters but later it was also made available on OTT platform. In a recent interview, John talked about how he wants to be on the big screen and mentioned why he preferred the OTT space as a producer but not as an actor.

“As a producer, I love the OTT space. I would love to make films for the medium and cater to that audience. But as an actor, I am very clear that I want to be on the big screen,” he told ETimes.

John Abraham further said that he is the hero of the big screen and wants to remain the same. He also mentioned that he would feel bad if someone in the house stopped watching his film. “I am the hero of the big screen and I want to be seen here. At this point of time, I will do such films which are suitable for the big screen. I would find it objectionable if someone stops my film midway on the tablet because they need to go to the washroom. Also, I don’t want to be available for Rs 299 or Rs 499. I have a problem with this.

John Abraham’s Attack failed to rule the box office. Helmed by Lakshya Raj Anand, the film earned around Rs 12 crore as it was influenced by SS Rajamouli’s RRR. John later released a statement thanking the audience for “accepting something new and different”. He said, “Thank you very much for accepting the audience something new and different with all the appreciation we have received for this film. ATTACK was an honest, humble experiment on our part to give something new and innovative to the industry, read the statement.

John Abraham will next be seen in Ek Villain Returns alongside Tara Sutaria, Arjun Kapoor and Disha Patani. The film will hit the theaters in July this year.
