Thomas of the Janata Dal (S) and Pramod Narayan of the Kerala Congress (M), both elements of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) led by the ruling CPI (M). ).

“I have not made any statements against the constitution,” Cherian said in a statement on Tuesday. “The news that I have made defamatory statements against the constitution is distorted by the media. As a public servant, I was concerned that the majority of the people in the country were not getting the benefits of social justice. BJP state president K Surendran termed Cherian’s statement as “breach of oath of office and treason”. “After Saji Cherian is removed from the cabinet, he should be charged with treason,” he said. “It simply came to our notice then. He also insulted the judiciary.
