Mercury hits 41 degrees in Karachi with real experience high

Sama TV said that the temperature in Karachi reached 41 degrees on Friday and the actual experience was recorded at 43 degrees.

Last week, the Meteorological Department forecast extreme heat in the city from May 8 to May 13, saying the temperature could go up to 40 degrees. It said the city would experience very hot and dry weather during this period.

Although Friday proved to be the hottest day of the season in the city, although there was no heat wave.

Lasbela, located about 100 km northwest of Karachi, recorded a temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius on Friday.

The mercury crossed 45 degrees in Hyderabad, Badin and Nawabshah and 47 degrees in Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu and Padidan.

Islamabad and several cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
