Birmingham (92News) – Pakistan’s wrestlers and runners made a splash in the finals of the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.
Wrestler Sharif Tahir defeated his opponent from New Zealand in the semi-final of 74 kg category. Asad Ali lost to his Indian opponent in the 57 kg category.
In the 97 kg category, Tayyab Raza was defeated by his Canadian opponent. Sprinter Shajjar Abbas qualified for the finals of the 200m race.
On Friday, wrestlers Inam Butt and Zaman Anwar won silver medals, while Inayatullah got bronze.
