Paramilitary jawan killed, 2 injured in firing by CISF personnel at Kolkata’s Indian Museum MPNRC News

The shooter, a CISF jawan who is yet to be apprehended, is reported to be carrying a loaded AK-47 rifle.

A paramilitary jawan was killed and two others injured in firing by armed CISF personnel at the National Museum in Kolkata, sources said. The target of the firing was a police vehicle which was parked near the police barracks in the museum premises. At least 25-30 rounds were fired at the premises on Kidd Street in central Kolkata.

The shooter, said to be a CISF jawan, is yet to be apprehended and is reported to be carrying a loaded AK-47 rifle.

A commando force under the Kolkata Police has swooped in and is using dragon lights to nab the armed shooter.

Meanwhile, the injured and the jawan’s body have been shifted to SSKM Hospital.

Visuals from the scene showed a car under fire with bullet marks. Blood marks were seen on the seat.
