Patna High Court issues tender to all judges to buy iPhone 13 Pro MPNRC

Patna High Court on June 21 issued a tender inviting quotations from authorized dealers or suppliers for purchase of Apple iPhone 13 Pro 256GB for all judges of the court. The notice, which was signed by the Officer on Special Duty of the High Court, stated that the rate quoted in the tender should be inclusive of GST and service tax.

The court in its tender notice has also asked the dealers/suppliers to clearly mention the GST number, PAN number, Aadhaar number, email ID and a registered mobile number in the quotation. “No advance payment shall be made and payment shall be made through bank (CFMS mode) instead of cash, after submission of bill in duplicate,” it says.

Stating that the Court reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the quotations, the notice added that the firm or the supplier needs to be ready for maintenance of the phone if required. “Defective material should be immediately replaced free of cost by the respective firms within the warranty period,” the tender notice said.

According to Amazon.in, an Apple iPhone 13 Pro 256GB model is priced at Rs 1,29,000 and the Patna HC currently has 29 judges, which means the total cost would be over Rs 37 lakh.

“Each page of the bid should be duly signed and stamped by the suppliers/firms. The bid complete in all respect shall be submitted to the undersigned’s chambers within seven days from the date of publication of this tender notice on the official website of Patna High Court, Patna. should be known,” said the court’s tender notice.

The court’s decision comes at a time when Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 14 series, which is expected to release in September this year. Under the iPhone 14 series, Apple will launch four new models including the iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone Pro.
