PM expresses sympathy and condolences to those killed in the earthquake in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD (92 NEWS) – Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sympathy and condolences on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan on the loss of valuable life and material damage in the devastating earthquake in Afghanistan.

In a telephonic conversation with the Acting Prime Minister of the Interim Afghan Government, Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, he has assured continued support and cooperation to the people of Afghanistan in this time of need. “The people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Afghan brothers in this difficult time.”

The Prime Minister also informed that the Ghulam Khan and Angoor Adda border crossing points have been opened for their transportation to Pakistan for the treatment of seriously injured Afghans.

He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue providing assistance to the Afghan people facing a grave humanitarian situation.
