LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N leader Atta Tarar has welcomed the decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC), saying that he accepts it.
Talking to the media on Thursday, he said that the court neither annulled the election of Hamza Shahbaz nor removed him from the post. He said, “Perhaps PTI did not understand the court’s decision written in English. As chief minister, Hamza Shahbaz’s decision has been protected.”
The PML-N leader said his party had a majority of nine votes, even though 25 members were dropped. “If the election process is again disrupted, it will amount to contempt of court,” he said.
He claimed that his estranged members had returned to the party. Apart from this, five independent members have also declared their support to Hamza Shahbaz, he said.
Tarar said the court had given orders to ensure that the election process is peaceful.
