Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the Blue Line, Green Line Metro bus services in Islamabad
Islamabad (92 News) – Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated the Blue Line and Green Line metro bus service routes in Islamabad.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister said that the provision of regular, clean and timely bus service is a major step of the present government. “The launch of Green Line and Blue Line Metro bus services is a commendable and important step of the government, especially in the prevailing economic situation of the country.”
Shahbaz Sharif directed the concerned authorities to complete all the facilities related to the project including passenger stations on this route as soon as possible. He also laid the foundation stone of the Metro Bus Operation Command and Control Center building.
The Green Line Metro bus service will run between Kahu Campus to PIMS Hospital Islamabad. The 15.5 km long route will have eight stations.
This time the Prime Minister announced free travel for one month in these two metro bus services.
The Blue Line Metro bus service will run from Coral Chowk to PIMS Hospital Islamabad. The 20 km long route will have 13 stations.
Home Minister Rana Sanaullah also addressed the function while Capital Development Authority Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed briefed the audience on the features of the project.
