Pointing to the devastation caused by the floods caused by the unprecedented rains, he said that Balochistan has witnessed extraordinary devastation, while Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have also suffered heavy losses.

The Prime Minister said that despite the difficult economic situation, the government has urgently released five billion rupees for the flood victims.

He said that the flood affected brothers, sisters and children need to be helped in the spirit of ‘Ansar-e-Madina’.

Cash assistance for flood victims can be deposited in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund 2022 account number ‘G-12164’.

The federal government has already declared a state of emergency in the flood-hit areas, while the provincial governments have also been asked to declare the affected areas as disaster prone so that relief operations can be accelerated.
