PTI activist arrested ahead of Sialkot rally
SIALKOT (92 News) – Police arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party workers including PTI leaders Usman Dar and Umar Dar ahead of a scheduled rally at CTI Ground.
According to the information, the police raided the public meeting place with heavy machinery. TMA staff was also brought to the venue. A scuffle broke out between PTI workers and the police at the venue.
On protest by the PTI workers, the police fired tear gas shells and lathi-charged the PTI workers to disperse them. PTI leaders including Usman and Umar Dar were detained. The police also removed the chairs from the stage and forced the PTI workers out of the venue.
The police arrested several activists along with local leaders during the campaign. Police removed flexes based on photographs of the leadership from the stage.
