Punjab: Massive fire breaks out at government hospital in Amritsar, no casualties
A massive fire broke out at the government-run Guru Nanak Dev Hospital here on Saturday, police said. However, no casualties have been reported, he said. Around ten fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire.
A transformer exploded near the hospital OPD, causing a fire, engulfing the cardiology, x-ray and dermatology departments. The hospital is run under the supervision of the Government Medical College. Rajeev Devgun, principal of Government Medical College, told reporters that the transformer caught fire due to an oil leak and then exploded.
All the patients in the affected ward were evacuated on time. There were no casualties but damage to hospital infrastructure, he said.
At Shri Ram Sahib, the Guru reported the incident of the incident in the fire. There was no loss of life due to the life of his Majesty Harbhajan Singh at the site of the incident.

Punjab Public Works and Power Minister Harbhajan Singh reached the spot and took stock of the situation. He said that a thorough inquiry would be conducted into the incident of fire.
