Mumbai Police on Thursday tightened security at party headquarters Shiv Sena Bhavan and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s private residence ‘Matoshree’ amid the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra due to insurgency in Shiv Sena. City Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey met CM Thackeray in Matoshree to discuss the law and order situation, an official said.

There is a possibility of a violent reaction among Shiv Sena supporters in the city as senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and at least 37 party MLAs revolted against the party leadership, the police official said.
