Washington: There’s no end to the Twitter saga after billionaire Elon Musk’s dramatic entry to buy the micro-blogging site, rapper Snoop Dogg, also threw his hat into the ring when news broke that the Tesla CEO’s deal had stalled.
Rapper Snoop Dogg tweeted that he “might have to buy Twitter”. It started a funny way on his timeline, which Musk joined in with a “fire” emoji.
While Musk’s buy out plan has already filled his timeline on Twitter with ideas for the microblogging site’s transformation, the rapper also shared his vision.
As Twitter’s boss, the rapper laid out a set of new rules for the company, including replacing the board of directors, giving everyone a verified account, and free internet on airplanes.
“Fish Fry from My Corner will replace the board of directors with Tommy Chung and Jimmy with Ponytail on CNBC. Everyone gets a blue checkmark. Even bots with 10 letters in their name that hit you DM and just say “hello.” Nah f**k those bots,” he said in a series of tweets.
Musk said Saturday (local time) that Twitter’s legal team accused him of violating a non-disclosure agreement that said the sample size for the social media platform’s checks on automated users was 100.
“Twitter legal just called to complain that I violated their NDA by disclosing bot check sample size 100!” Musk tweeted.
Twitter recently agreed to be acquired by Tesla CEO Elon Musk in a $44 billion deal, though it’s still subject to shareholder approval. However, Elon Musk announced that the $44 billion takeover bid of the micro-blogging site is on hold.
Musk said earlier this week that Twitter’s decision to ban former US President Donald Trump was a mistake and he would reverse it if his acquisition of the social media company is successful.
