Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, which released in theaters worldwide in 2015, took the box office by storm. It was the first all-India release for any Tollywood film and went on to gross around Rs. It became the highest grossing film of that time in India with a collection of over 600 crores. The film opened the door for southern films to be released in Hindi-speaking regions.

After Baahubali, films like Pushpa: The Rise and Rise Roar Revolt (RRR) and others were huge box office successes. With the success of these films, the directors are also pocketing huge amounts of money.

Here are the fees charged by Tollywood directors for their upcoming films.

SS Rajamouli

SS Rajamouli directorial Rise Roar Revolt (RRR) released in theaters on March 24 and grossed Rs 1100 crore worldwide. According to reports, Rajamouli did not charge anything special for the project. Instead, he took a share of RRR’s profits of Rs 60 crore to Rs 65 crore.

Prashant Neil

Directed by Prashant Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 released in theaters on 14 April and grossed around Rs 1200 crore worldwide. After the huge success of this film, Prashant is now reported to be charging Rs 40 to 50 crores per film.

Sukumar

Pushpa: The Rise, directed by Sukumar, was released on December 17 last year. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna stunned the audience with their captivating performances. After the success of the first part, Sukumar is reported to be taking Rs 50 crore for the second part of Pushpa.

Puri Jagannath

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Ligar is set to release on August 25. The trailer of this sports drama has already created a sensation. It is reported that Puri Jagannath will get Rs 25 crore for this project.

Shankar

Famous director Shankar has teamed up with Ram Charan for the upcoming movie ‘Sarkarodu’. It is reported that Shankar is taking Rs 40 crores for this film.

Trivikram Srinivas

Trivikram was last seen writing the dialogues and screenplay for the film Bhimla Nayak, which released on 25 February. Bhimla Nayak received mixed response. Trivikram returns to direction with his upcoming project SSMB 28. According to reports, he is likely to get Rs 25-30 crore for the film.
