In an interesting turn of events in the world of celebrity boxing, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will finally clash. Earlier this week, the former Love Island star confirmed the date of her upcoming fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake. The 23-year-old replied to Jake’s tweet where he openly challenged and even made fun of WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury’s brother.

Jake’s tweet read, “Tommy Fury, you withdrew your name last year. So now you agree to fight me but your dad is trying to kick you out again?” YouTuber’s brother Logan Paul said, “We’ve got everything you asked for: a $2M purse, VADA tests, and tampons.”

The tweet posted on Wednesday ended with Jake issuing Tommy a deadline as he wrote, “You have 24 hours 2 clear it up or I’ll never give you this opportunity again.”

In another video message, Jake accused players like Tommy of wrecking the game. However, Tommy replied, repeating, “The fight is on. August 6th. Forget a team or some other crap*t. I don’t need someone to help you lay me flat on that canvas. Oh and Thank you for finally signing off on the drug test, you only agreed to it when you realized the fight was at risk – who needs who.”

Tommy Fury rose to fame after his appearance on the reality TV show Love Island, where he finished as runner-up. The British professional boxer has fought many professional bouts and has recorded eight victories so far. Most recently, Tommy defeated Daniil Boschianski in April.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul’s tryst with popularity came through his YouTube videos as well as his TV work, where he was a cast member on the Disney Channel show Bizzardvark. The 25-year-old has won five professional boxing matches and stopped all his opponents. Paul extended his professional record to a fifth win after knocking out former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in their rematch in December last year.
