Despite the increase in the price of Lamborghini cars, Lamborghini cars have been gaining popularity among Indian buyers in recent times. The company has recently sold the 200th unit of its Urus SUV in the country. And, a similar response is being witnessed for the latest iteration of its Huracan supercar. Although the official launch is still far off, Lamborghini has said that bookings for the Huracan Tecnica have already started, as reported by Autocar.

The new Huracan Tecnica is positioned between the standard version of the car – the Huracan EVO – and the track-oriented version – the Huracan STO – as it has qualities of both cars. It’s “more or less a combination” of the two, as described by Reuven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer, Lamborghini.

When it comes to performance, the Huracan Technica has the same features as the Huracan STO. The powertrain, a 5.2-litre, V10, naturally aspirated, boasts a maximum of 640hp, with torque at 564 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed, dual-clutch, automatic transmission.

The powertrain and transmission combination allows the car to zoom from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 325 kmph. Handling the braking duties of this machine are the carbon-ceramic disc units that come as standard.

Now, coming to the looks of the car, the area that has received the most tweaks, the supercar draws its design from Lamborghini’s Cian hybrid. The car features a new Y-shaped graphic below the headlamps. The car gets a full carbon-fibre bonnet, hexagonal exhaust tips and a redesigned front bumper. The car also has a fixed rear spoiler.

While the final word on pricing is yet to come out, the upcoming car is likely to be positioned below the Huracan STO, which retails in India at a starting price of Rs 4.99 crore (ex-showroom).
