Tollywood star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, which hit theaters in December last year, became the highest grosser of the year. Directed by Sukumar, it was released across India in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages. The film grossed Rs 350 crore at the worldwide box office. Now the makers are preparing for the sequel of this film.

The sequel of the action drama ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ will soon hit the screens. It is reported that Sukumar and Allu Arjun will start shooting for the film by the end of this month. However, some reports claim that both the lead actor and the director are going to get a huge amount for the upcoming film.

According to reports, Allu Arjun will get Rs 175 crore for the second part of the action drama while Sukumar will get Rs 75 crore. This will increase the budget of the project as the director and lead actor’s fees will cross 200 crores. According to reports, the total budget of Pushpa: Niyama is expected to touch Rs 400 crore. Pushpa Part One was made on a budget of approximately Rs 200 crore.

Some reports also claim that the makers have recently received an offer of Rs 100 crore for the OTT rights of the film, but nothing has been confirmed. Allu Arjun wants to release the film in grand theatres. Some reports, citing sources, claim that Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar are also keen to grab the digital rights of Pushpa 2.

Director Sukumar is tight-lipped about the plot and star cast of Pushpa: The Rule. Sukumar has already finished writing the screenplay for the film and is looking forward to start shooting soon.

On the work front, Allu Arjun’s upcoming film AA21 will hit the theaters on November 14. AA21 is directed by Koratala Siva.
