The incident started in 2018. A young woman accused the BSP MP of Ghosi of rape. She alleged that Atul took her to his house in Varanasi and raped her. It takes some time to arrest the influencer after the complaint of the young woman. Atul Rai was arrested in August 2019. He has been in jail since then.

The victim, a 24-year-old girl, and her friend, one of the witnesses to the incident, set themselves on fire outside the Supreme Court in August last year after the Facebook Live. Both died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, the accused influential leader BSP MP Atul Rai was acquitted due to lack of evidence on Saturday.

Incidentally, Atul applied for bail a few months ago. At that time, the bench of judges of Allahabad High Court (Allahabad High Court) made significant comments. The judges lamented, “An unfortunate alliance is developing between politicians and bureaucrats in organized crime.
