Mumbai: Maharashtra minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Jayant Patil on Thursday made it clear that the NCP would prefer to sit in the opposition if the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra falls.

His statement came after the NCP meeting at party chief Sharad Pawar’s residence today.
